1 Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing or using the IDPOINT mobile application (the "App") or accessing the website at idpoint.in (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").
If you are using the Service on behalf of a school, educational institute, or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and references to "you" include that organization.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2 Description of Service
IDPOINT is a mobile application designed to help schools and educational institutes manage student and staff identity card records. The Service includes:
- Creation and management of student and staff profiles
- Photo capture and upload for ID card generation
- Missing data tracking and completion workflows
- ID card template preview and generation
- Class-wise filtering and search functionality
- Admin dashboard with project-level analytics
The Service is intended for authorized school administrators and staff only. It is not a public-facing platform for students or parents.
3 User Accounts & Eligibility
3.1 Account Registration: To use the Service, you must register for an admin account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account credentials confidential.
3.2 Eligibility: The Service is available only to individuals who are 18 years of age or older and who are authorized representatives of a registered school or educational institution.
3.3 Account Security: You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must immediately notify us at support@idpoint.in if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
3.4 One Account per Institution: Each institution should maintain a single admin account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent service limitations is prohibited.
4 Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Upload, store or process data of individuals without proper authorization and consent from the relevant institution and parents/guardians where minors are involved
- Use the Service to process data for any purpose other than school ID card management
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, servers, or databases
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any component of the App
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or any other harmful software
- Use automated tools or bots to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without written permission
- Violate any applicable local, state, national or international law or regulation
5 Data & Content Ownership
5.1 Your Data: You retain full ownership of all student and staff data, photos and records you upload to the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you.
5.2 No Commercial Use of Your Data: We will never sell, share, or use Your Content for advertising, marketing or any commercial purpose beyond providing the agreed Service.
5.3 Data Deletion: Upon account termination or upon your written request, we will delete Your Content from our servers within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.
5.4 Accuracy: You are solely responsible for the accuracy, quality, and legality of Your Content. We do not verify the accuracy of data entered into the platform.
6 Privacy & Data Security
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure token-based authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You acknowledge that student photo data is sensitive personal information. You must ensure you have obtained the required consents before uploading any photographs of minors to the platform.
7 Intellectual Property
The IDPOINT application, website, logos, designs, software, features, and all related intellectual property are owned by or licensed to IDPOINT and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purpose. This license does not include the right to copy, modify, distribute, sell or create derivative works of the App.
All feedback, suggestions or feature requests you submit may be used by us to improve the Service without any obligation to you.
8 Service Availability
We strive to provide a reliable Service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:
- Scheduled maintenance (we aim to notify users in advance)
- Unplanned outages, server issues or infrastructure failures
- Events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)
We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We will not be liable for any interruption in service availability.
9 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IDPOINT and its affiliates, directors, employees and agents shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages
- Loss of data, profits, revenue or business opportunities
- Any damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account or data
- Any errors, inaccuracies or omissions in data stored through the Service
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10 Termination
10.1 By You: You may stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account and associated data, contact us at support@idpoint.in.
10.2 By Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if continued service would cause legal liability to us.
10.3 Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your license to use the App ends immediately. Provisions relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law shall survive termination.
11 Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by:
- Displaying a notice within the App on your next login
- Updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page
- Sending an email to the address associated with your account (for significant changes)
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
12 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Gujarat, India.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
